By understanding how you live, what inspires you, and what matters most to you, I can help guide you through each phase of the process with clarity and confidence.

As a sole practitioner, you'll work directly with me from our first conversation through construction. Whether it's navigating permitting requirements, coordinating with consultants and contractors, or refining the smallest design details, my goal is to make the process thoughtful, collaborative, and enjoyable while helping you make informed decisions every step of the way.

MEET THE ARCHITECT

Every successful project begins with a conversation. We'll discuss your goals, priorities, budget, and vision for your home while determining whether we're the right fit for one another.

During this phase we'll:

Discuss your project goals, schedule, and budget.
Explore how you live and what you'd like to improve.
Identify opportunities and potential challenges.
Review the architectural process and answer your questions.
Establish the scope of services and provide a Letter of Agreement.

ANALYSIS + FEASIBILITY

Before design begins, I take the time to understand both the opportunities and constraints of your property. Early research can often save significant time, cost, and frustration later in the process.

Services may include:

Existing house measurements and documentation.
Site and zoning analysis.
Review of permitting requirements and project feasibility.
Evaluation of views, light, topography, access, and site features.
Preliminary discussions with permitting agencies and consultants as needed.

DESIGN

This is where ideas begin to take shape. Through an iterative and collaborative process, we'll explore design options that balance aesthetics, functionality, constructability, and budget.

Services may include:

Development of multiple design concepts and layouts.
Space planning and efficient use of square footage.
Budget-conscious design solutions.
Three-dimensional modeling and visualizations.
Refinement of the design based upon your feedback.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

Once the design is finalized, detailed drawings are developed for permitting and construction. I coordinate closely with permitting agencies, engineers, and consultants to help simplify what can often be the most complex phase of a project.

Services may include:

Coordination with structural engineers and other consultants.
Preparation of permit and construction documents.
Zoning and code compliance documentation.
Coordination with manufacturers and jurisdictional requirements.
Responses to permit review comments and revisions as required.

CONSTRUCTION

Seeing a project come to life is one of the most rewarding parts of the process. I remain involved during construction to help ensure the design intent is realized and to assist in resolving questions that inevitably arise in the field.

Services may include:

Contractor selection and bid review.
Construction site visits.
Review of shop drawings and product selections.
Responses to contractor questions and unforeseen conditions.
Supplemental sketches and construction details when required.

AFTER COMPLETION

The completion of construction marks the beginning of living in your newly transformed home. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing clients enjoy spaces thoughtfully designed around the way they live.
